Small Talks
Hello there! This is actually a very serious topic, I called it a small talk because I didn't want to sound overreacting or dramatic.
And let's get straight to the point: My opinion on NastyLand has changed.
To put it in short, I simply just don't see it as a career and something I actually "live for" anymore.
Instead, I will see it as just a hobby, something I'm interested in, again.
Beneath the surface, this will change many things directly and indirectly;
But let's just talk about what's on the surface.
First of all, now that this happens, it's for sure that I wouldn't put so much effort in NastyLand anymore.
I'm not saying I'm dumping it or trying to put myself away from it, it's just that I don't want to put all my energy in it while a big part of that energy are just going to literal waste in my competitive thoughts/mindset and the unhealthy environment in all the way.
The dark side of it is that obviously now I won't really care or watch myself on the speed of updating the game and all that.
But, the bright side is wide!
I'd have a better environment in my mind and with myself to work on NastyLand with this change of view.
Like, I wouldn't have to worry about "Am I better than the others, is my project better than the others, is my statstistic higher than the others" and all that kinds of stuff going on in my head.
To be totally honest, those thoughts can't just be 100% gone, but the way they make effect and bring anxiety to me will definitely be lighter and lot easier for me to deal with.
And with that being said, now I can also allow myself to express and put down whatever I want at the present and not worry too much about whether the "all sorts of people" out there would like it or not.
That's all I can say about it for now.
You can read more about it on the personal parts in the "My Rambles" section in the game. (Not yet, not this build, maybe V0.3a or V0.3b when I can calm down to think better to write coherently about it <3)

About GRAVITY delay
OOF! The clock sure has been ticking faster, it's mid March already...
Well, sprites&illustration progress problems aside, there are some deeper and more serious reasons to it, which is why I'm talking about the delay specifically here...
*The language(thewayIspeak) I'm about to use to talk about this will be very personal and it'd probably take a few more reads to understand what I'm talking about.
Well I think that the story of GRAVITY for me is like, a chaotic combination/mashup of all my thoughts and things that I want to express and put out to the people out there whoever that would come to read GRAVITY.
For now the pre-extend and pre-polish Chapter 1 has got only about 800 lines, and it's already showing many themes and the things I want to put down on this E-paper.
There's Love, redemptions, idealism, But it's also sarcasms, an education, making peace with "making compromises", making peace with own hatred and actually so many more.
But now, I'm not really sure if I still 'believe in&stand for' some of the themes and thoughts that's in it now, and they're not really something I can just change/overwrite.
One of the themes that takes a big part in GRAVITY is "Love can achieve anything" and "You can be anything you want to be".
But then like, one day recently, I was swiping off short videos and I saw a clip of an award event.
The star went up the stage, picks up her trophy and said "You can be anything you want to be".
And in my head I just went like "Yeah, everyone of you said that at least five times"
Like, I know and understand that they meant to inspire good, but I can't stop my mind from going thinking that the fact they are saying that on the stage is only because they have already made their success, and they probably didn't really think that way before that success of theirs.
It's kinda ironic for me, and it led me to what I'm writing myself, the story of GRAVITY.
Because I think like, if those people in the gowns making their success and milestones don't have the privilege to say that;
Then me, who's still tripping and failing to make any progress has got even less right to say that, let alone writing it down in a story.
That's basically the main problem.
I think this theme of GRAVITY, "You can be anything" is kinda shamefully ironic on me, and I'm really not comfortable to work on it with this thought now.
I don't think it's just some kind of simple self-hate, not anxiety nor any of that stuff. it's something deeper that really deserves me to think harder about.
And well, to make it up, I guess I should put some snippets of the script of GRAVITY and some of the illustrations here~ (all wip and subject to change/refine.)
And more!

A few *rough* illustration done by me... (All wip and to be refined or will be redone by Leo)
